Hello and thanks for visiting my shop! I’m Kelley the owner, artist, and curator at Gray Cat. The shop originated because of my love for vintage and found items ~ and as a way to share with you the unique, fun things I discover in thrift stores, at yard sales, or flea markets. I love vintage and found items for the aesthetic joy and warm feelings of nostalgia they can illicit. I enjoy the thrill of hunting down lovely things from the past and giving them new life.

After working on a collaboration with www.nmpane.com where we upcycled clothing using found pieces and his distinctive artwork in the form of very cool assorted patches, my focus at Gray Cat changed. The reworked pieces we made were a success, and I really loved the entire creative process from start to finish. The experience inspired me to begin working on my own upcycled clothing, to rework old clothing items into something new, beautiful, and one-of-a-kind. I find vintage odds and ends ~ tees, scarves, patches, linens, fabrics ~and use them to reimagine found jackets, tops, sweaters, and denim. My aesthetic is bohemian with a touch of whimsy, and my goal is to create distinctive pieces for your wearing pleasure.
